Hello Friends! Just a quick note to let you all know that I'm still alive and doing fine. For those of you that I haven't kept up with for a while, I now live in Jersey City, NJ, about 1 mile from lower Manhattan (1 mile that is known as the Hudson River). My apartment has a great view of lower New York Harbor, and I can see a Saturday morning departure of one of the cruise ships right now! I'm still quite involved in my Church in Ridgewood, NJ (West Side Presbyterian Church) - with Youth Groups, Handbell Choir, and a few other things. Ridgewood got a "little farther away" back in March when I sold my car. I've done what I can for the environment by taking one more car off the streets, so I rely on public transportation and the occaisional taxi ride - and, of course, the kindness of friends! I work at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals in Union, NJ as the Manager of Disaster Recovery. I love being so close to "The City" and have a couple of subsciptions to Carnegie Hall, and enjoyed a number of this summer's River to River Festival events around lower Manhattan. Plans are already underway for the 2nd Annual "Let's see how many people we can fit on Mark's balcony for July 4th Fireworks" party. [Note that I didn't say *I* was making any plans yet, but some of this year's guests are trying to find better routes out of Jersey City for next year ;-) ] Mark you calendars now, 4-July-2005 is a Monday, so I'm not sure which day the fireworks will take place.
